Wadi culvert

Muscat (OMAN)

The infrastructural work is part of the redevelopment of the area affected by the Muscat Hills Golf & Country Club aimed at a more suitable arrangement of areas accessible to users of the building / sport complex. Specifically, it is an extension of a large system of regularization and undergrounding of the riverbed of one of the Wadis that flows inside the area in order to avoid the effects of undermining on the surrounding buildings as a result of meteoric events that, although limited in number during the year, they always have a torrential nature with significant increases in the free surface.
The landfill was made possible by the construction of a reinforced concrete culvert that allowed the Wadi free-flowing area to move more than a hundred meters further downstream. The area has been filled allowing a widening of the existing roads and a new area used for parking.
