Technological building inside Railway Station Torino Lingotto

The new technological building assumes strategic importance as a control center for all the railway traffic of the Piedmont Region, for its geo positioning at the center of the Turin railway junction as regards the Metropolitan Railway Network and at the junction point of the main railway corridors to Modane, Genoa, Milan.
The new building design took great consideration the inspiring historical /conceptual references from the point of view of the development of the building organism and of the architectural stylistic features that characterize it, the integration with with enviromental context, the work sustenibility relating energy saving and the used materials , the comfort of working spaces.

Sustainability and comfort
The building has been designed imagining to use building and MEP technologies such as to allow an energy classification of type A, able to obtain the certification according to LEED protocol.
Despite the predominantly technological nature of the new building, we tried to guarantee as much as possible maximum comfort in the workplace, both from the point of view of the quality of the materials and installations, and from the point of view of the settings and recognisability of paths and collective places.
